實證中關於身體的問題:身體是一種錯覺,需不需要糾正

Issues regarding the body in empirical practice: Is the body an illusion that needs correction?

咱們基於實證的觀念去修行,實證的基本觀念是什麼呢?就是身體是種錯覺。現在並不在於說,客觀地去改變這個身體,因為它是錯覺,我們沒必要現在去下功夫改變這個身體,沒必要的。

What is the basic idea of empirical practice? It is that the body is a kind of illusion. Now it is not about objectively changing this body, because it is an illusion, and we don't need to make efforts to change it.

 

佛學的基本觀念就是,我們只要把心調整到一定的狀態,你長久住於這種高層次的狀態,你的身體自然會擺脫那種錯誤的狀態,會自然的恢復,自然的變化。它會變化哪種狀態?常入定中,然後獲得意生身,身體會自然變的,根本不需要我們刻意去做,刻意去糾正那種錯覺。

The fundamental concept of Buddhism is that as long as we adjust our minds to a certain state, if you dwell in this high-level state for a long time, your body will naturally free itself from that erroneous state and will naturally recover and change. It will change to what kind of state? It will enter into a state of constant concentration, and then you will attain the dharmakaya (body of truth), and the body will naturally change without the need for us to deliberately do anything or correct that illusion.

 

錯覺是不需要我們去糾正的,我們只要做好自心就行。也就是說,隨著心的變化,我們最終會獲得意生身,身體將會逐漸改變,恢復到一種正常的狀態。身體恢復到與高層思維狀態相對應的境界,是對應的所謂物質的狀態。那麼,這就是實證最基本的觀念,是無數先人走過來的,也是非常非常穩妥的,不會出現任何問題的。

We don’t need to correct the Illusion, and we just need to work on our own minds. In other words, as the mind changes, we will eventually attain the dharmakaya, and the body will gradually change and return to a normal state. When the body returns to a state corresponding to the high-level state of mind, it corresponds to the so-called material state. This is the most basic concept of empirical practice, which has been walked through by countless ancestors and is very reliable, without any problems.

 

因此,在身與心的問題這一方面,佛學的經典裏,釋迦牟尼佛的經典裏,幾乎是沒有去談我們怎樣改變身體,幾乎沒有這樣的文章的,為什麼呢?因為祖先們親自證到物質是種錯覺(不僅僅身體,我們的大千世界,全部是種錯覺),故此是不可能在錯覺上用功的,不可能在錯覺上現在去做的。所以,僅僅只需要調整自心就行——調整自心,然後擺脫錯覺,擺脫錯覺,一切就都解決了。

Therefore, there are almost no articles discussing how we change the body in the aspect of the body and mind, in the scriptures of Shakyamuni Buddha of the classics of Buddhism, why? Because our ancestors personally realized that material is an illusion (not just the body, our entire world, is all an illusion), it is impossible to work on illusions. So, all we need to do is adjust our own minds, which will naturally lead to the result of getting rid of illusions.

 

那麼道家裏面,先解決身,有沒有意義?那是因為你在這種錯覺下,必定是受這種錯覺擺佈的,你把這種錯覺調整,它本身的身體現在會出現散亂了,與散亂相應;但你把這個身體調整到一定狀態的時候,它與一種靜相應,那麼,這時候再去入定的話就比較容易。也就是說,你身體調整好,也會瞬間失去身體覺受,瞬間達到靜,然後很快就入定。你是有這樣的好處的,這樣的實證,往往變得比較輕鬆。

In Daoism, what is it meaning to adjust the body first? That's because under this kind of illusion, you will inevitably be swayed by this illusion. When you adjust this body to a certain state, it corresponds to stillness, making it easier to enter into concentration. In other words, when you adjust your body well, you will instantly lose bodily sensations and quickly reach a state of stillness and concentration. This advantage often makes empirical practice easier.

 

我們的實證,為什麼比較難呢?因為身體是一個非常大的障礙。有的人說周圍的環境是種障礙,但周圍的環境大家都是一樣的,為什麼人家有的人實證比較好,證入比較快,而你卻實證得比較差、比較慢呢?那是因為那個人在身體這方面解決得特別好,瞬間就能達到一定的狀態——當你的物質/身體處於一定狀態的時候,你的思維處於同樣一種狀態,因為它們是一體的,彼此不分的,不存在誰影響誰,哪一個先走了一步哪一個落後了一步,沒有這回事的。人家和孫悟空一樣,身體調整的好,處於高層次狀態,所以他的實證就比較容易。唐僧就不一樣,他的實證比較難,一步一步出現問題,一步一步解決問題,一步一步掌握原理,他就沒有人家孫悟空解決得容易。因此,如果你以前在身體上有一定的基礎,你就可以充分利用它,讓自己的實證儘快地提升,儘快地突破。

Why is the empirical practice so difficult? It's because the body is a very big obstacle. Some people say that the surrounding environment may be an obstacle, but everyone's surrounding environment is the same, and why do some people achieve results better and faster, while others can’t? That's because that person solved the problem of the body particularly well. When your material/body is in a certain state, your thoughts are in the same state because they are one, they are inseparable, and there is no one taking a step ahead or lagging. Just like Sun Wukong, his body is well adjusted in a high-level state, so his practice is relatively easy. Tang Sanzang is different, his practice is more difficult, and he needs to master the principles and solve problems step by step. Therefore, if you have a certain foundation in the body, you can fully utilize it to quickly improve your practice and breakthrough quickly.

 

對於身體上沒有任何基礎的人,你想先從身體上走,那也是可以的,就是走百日閉關的修行道路。利用一百天的時間,放鬆啊,專注地去練放鬆,通過放鬆去入靜和入定。

For people with no foundation in the body at all, if you want to start from the body, it is also possible, it is the path of practicing seclusion retreat cultivation for a hundred days. Utilize one hundred days to relax, focus on practicing relaxation, and enter stillness and concentration through relaxation.

 

為什麼從身體上走,要用閉關的精神去踐行?因為身體是最容易出現問題的,而在閉關的過程中,你最容易放鬆,不容易受別的因素的干擾,能夠持續地積累經驗總結經驗,直至獲得突破。

Why start from the body and use the spirit of seclusion? Because the body is the easiest to have problems, and during seclusion retreat, you are most likely to relax and not easily disturbed by other factors, you can continuously accumulate experience and summarize experience until you achieve a breakthrough.

 

為什麼在這個地方,總結經驗顯得非常重要?因為打個比喻的話,你基本上是在走那個踩鋼絲一樣的路線,可以說,走身體路線跟踩鋼絲沒有什麼區別的。因為它需要在靜和定這個邊緣上反復走的,稍稍用意過重,馬上就散亂。要麼就是做得好進入了定中,要麼稍稍不注意,靜的發展就墮入細昏沉。你去看一下呂洞賓寫的那些感受,你就知道他是在靜和定這上面踩鋼絲修行的,不能過緊,也不能過松。一直就這樣積累和總結。

Why is it so important to summarize experience? Because, to make an analogy, you are walking on the tightrope. Walking the body route is not different from walking the tightrope. Because it needs to repeatedly walk on the edge of stillness and concentration, and the state of mind easily falls into chaos with slight misuse of attention. It is either done well and enters concentration, or it falls into subtle drowsiness with slight inattention. If one reads the feelings written by Lu Dongbin, one will know that he was practicing on the edge of stillness and concentration like walking on a tightrope, not too tight, nor too loose.

 

所以這個過程,如果沒有一百天的時間,沒有用閉關的精神去做的話,你是根本體驗不到那種心理狀態的,你是無法把握整個進程的。那樣的話,你就是完全散亂地去實證,根本是無法把握,很難把握的。只有你把握得好,才容易達到一種狀態。比如說,你實證得到了酥暖,這個酥暖是怎樣得來的?它又是怎樣散失的?酥暖之後該怎樣解決?……所有這些,都需要用一個閉關的時間,堅定的意志,專業的實證,去獲得經驗和積累經驗的。這個經驗,真的是一點點積累起來的,而這種積累只有在靜中才行的;尤其是對於居士來說,沒有閉關的精神,在身體路線上走的話,由於經常受這種家事的影響,你就很難去獲得突破。

Therefore, in this process, if the time requirement of one hundred days for seclusion is not met, one will not experience that kind of psychological state, and will not be able to grasp the whole process. Only when one grasps it well, it will become easier to achieve a certain state. For example, if one achieves a warm sensation, how did this warmth come about? How is it dissipated again? What should be done after warmth?... All of these require using isolated surroundings, a strong will, professional guide, to gain and accumulate practice experience. This experience is accumulated little by little, and this kind of accumulation can only be done in stillness.

 

因此,走身體路線,必須去過一百天閉關的生活,單身的生活,寧靜無打擾的生活。這個個話題,就簡單談到這裏了。

Therefore, to walk the path of body adjustment, you must spend a hundred days living an isolated life, a quiet and undisturbed life.
